Lush tea tree toner water review

So I usually avoid the cabinet at Lush that has the moisturisers and face products on it, as I don't have many issues with my skin and they are quite expensive! But a few weeks ago, I branched out and bought the small 100g tea tree toner water.

It is as it says... diluted tea tree oil in a bottle. It is refreshing and makes my skin quite soft. It was $11.90 so not too high, but I feel like it isn't doing much for me.

It is nice, but I probably wouldn't buy it again as it is just like spraying water on my face.

I give it a 7/10 as it has the potential to be good on problem skin.

Lush Godiva review

I had heard heaps of good things about Lush's solid shampoos, so I thought I would try one out.

I bought the Godiva 2-in-1 solid shampoo and conditioner bar, and the shampoo bar tin that goes with it. It was $15.90

It smelt strange - but it was great the first few weeks as far as it working and making my hair feel great.

I loved that I didn't have to condition after, it saved a lot of time.
However, after 2-3 weeks of using it, it becomes very sticky and I needed to use a lot of it compared to before.

The tin is not a good idea. It fits perfectly, so when it gets wet, the shampoo bar sticks inside and it won't come out. About halfway through I had to begin scraping clumps off the tin rather than running the bar onto my hair.

There bits of flowers and seeds in the bar, and these fall out and clog up the shower drain which is less than desirable.

Wouldn't buy again, wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Lush NZ Christmas haul!

Ok so my Lush items arrived! It is 9:15am and I am posting this because I'm just so darn excited! I must admit, I was a little disapointed with the postage time. I ordered on Thursday afternoon, and paid $9 postage. I have ordered online with Lush before, and it has arrived either the next morning, or the day after that. It is Tuesday morning here, so it took longer than usual but I have put it down to many people ordering the Christmas exclusives straight away like me??

I spent a lot this time... Usually my Lush orders average out to around $40 each time,  but this order came to a whopping $70 with the postage! Being handed this tiny package by the postman was a bit disheartening to be frank. I have ordered many times before, and the parcel's have always seemed much bigger even if they only contained one or two items!

I tore the package open (the only way to open a Lush parcel) and found a Lush Fresh Times magazine (already have two). The package smelt nice, but not as "Christmasy" as I thought it would.

Here's what I found:

I ordered a 100g Hot Toddy shower gel, 100g So White shower gel, 100g Snowman shower jelly, 100g reindeer rock soap, 100g snowcake soap and a santa's lip scrub. My mind is blown at how that came to $70... I also received a free sample, I was surprised to find a good sized piece of Karma soap, since the last couple of times it has been a little hunk of Rockstar.

If you know anything about Lush, you know Karma is one of it's star scents. I have a block of Karma on my shelf waiting to be used, and I have the Karma solid perfume. To me, it's a very strong scent. I prefer sweet, warm scents and Karma is the opposite. Won't stop me trying it though.

My favourite product by far from this haul is the Santa's lip scrub. I love lip products, and have two other Lush lip scrubs so I was very excited to try this one out. I was not disappointed here! It has a slight cola flavour, and it is a rich red colour. The best part is, it has some little heart confetti sprinkled throughout! If you are new to Lush, this would be a safe go-to option this Christmas! But remember it is limited edition and they do sell out fast :) 10/10

I admit, I was a little apprehensive to try Hot Toddy. As above, I prefer lighter, sweeter scents and the description of this is anything but. I imagined a spicy, bitter, rough scent. But I was pleasantly surprised! While it isn't sweet, it is not harsh. It has faint notes of cinnamon throughout, but it is balanced. It is also an amazing colour, similar to Rose Jam, but it is glittery!  8/10

The two soaps I got were pretty mediocre. I don't have a bath in my flat so I buy a lot of Lush soaps, gels and scrubs. I rely on these during the limited edition releases, as I can't buy the lovely bath bombs and melts :'(. This Christmas edition, I was disappointed in the variety of soaps. There were three soaps available, and all sounded similar. I was hoping for a delicate soap, and was delighted to see "snowcake" but it is not cake-like at all. 5/10 each

The most disappointing of the haul was "so white". The description sounded amazing (think shimmery apples) but on arrival, it smelt pretty very sour, like you've picked an unripe crab-apple from a tree and put it in a bottle. Even more so, the shower gel seems to have curdled. The bottom half is shower-gel like and smooth, but the top half is lumpy and, well, curdled. I will contact Lush and see what they say about it. 3/10

The snowman shower jelly was very strange! The website showed it as a 3D snowman, not in a container. I was unsure on how it was going to arrive! When I opened it, it looked just like a blob of white, and I was upset it wasn't a snowman shape! But on further inspection, it is a folded up snowman, and when you take it out he comes to life ;) pretty average smell, kind of lemonadey but kind of not... Probably best to test the smell out in store when it arrives! 7/10

I didn't order Snow Fairy this year, as I bought so in the Christmas in July promotion, and have plenty of it.

All in all, my Lush haul this year was a little disappointing. If I were to order again (which I probably will lol) I would get:
Santas Lip Scrub
Snowman Jelly
Hot Toddy
Snow Fairy sparkle bar
Snowman Fun bar kit

I will do review videos on all my lush products as I use them (that means I must be due for a Godiva and Miranda review!)
